First off, you can view posts in full size (on desktop) by clicking the top ... and "Open in Full View", shown in the video below this post.
This channel is simply for creating questions and discussions that may continue even after a new topic starts, since that rarely happens in the live chat channels. And of course, it's nice to have old topics to search through, rather than every question or discussion having to start from scratch again.
On desktop, there's a Post Guidelines button by the New Post button, and they show up while writing a post. On mobile however they're much harder to see, but still important - tap the title of the channel (or swipe left) and click the ... to expand them, or while writing a post, tap the upper right check-mark-on-a-book button.
You can search through all posts' titles with this channel's search bar - or, to find all instances of a term, you can use the standard Discord search, for example, Ctrl+f visualization in: questions-and-topics
Right-clicking and "Following" or "Unfollowing" a post will determine whether you receive notifications when new messages are sent in it, as well as whether the post will temporarily show up for you in the list of channels. Posts will stop appearing in your channels list after 72 hours of inactivity, even if you're following them, but they can still be found again manually.
Feel free to add on to old questions and discussions, but if you have a new question, make sure to create a new post to ask it so that people with the same question can easily find it in the future.

Discord still doesn't quite understand how "forums" work, so a post cannot be pinned to the top while it's locked. So for now we can't stop you from replying to this post... But uh, don't!
