Tulpa Discussion / questions-and-topics / The best way to find body appearance for tulpa?

I'm slightly stuck here, I'm not sure if 3d or 2d char is better and whether find images or simply imagine by yourself. I can imagine by myself, but the problem is that I can't draw good

Tewi: Just whatever you're comfortable with. People get along equally fine with 2D or 3D tulpas, as it happens. For us, 2D sources became 3D-ish-but-still-appearing-as-the-2D-sources over time, though nowadays I'd call us fully 3D and mostly realistic in form. (edited)

Is it necessary to make very detailed body and be able to imagine it easily?

Tewi: Not at all, in fact even a few people with aphantasia have been successful in creating tulpas that we know of. The core of it is just the feeling of and immersion in another person being present in your mind, and communication (of any form, whether words, visualized interactions, or just pure thought/feeling/emotions) between you. So, really, any form (or even formlessness) that is comfortable for you to imagine them as is fine. (edited)

Forms can also change or "update" over time as you/they desire.

Okay, thank you so much

You can try some of those art generators nowadays and see if you can get something useful out of those

Good idea, but what if I create something non stable and simply will chat with it? I will be able to change its body anyway later

That works too (edited)

Do you have a guide for understanding best way of communication with tulpa? I kinda understand concept, but it's usually explained briefly without examples

The only thing I would really stress is that you have to start small and with pretty low expectations. You're not going to have a sudden moment of realization where you're like "oh my goodness it's real!". Instead you chip chip chip away at it. You're going to start with something super tiny like a response that is not much more than a habit or what you would probably call your brain responding because you expect it to. And you build up from there.

Yeah, I see. Just don't want to mess it up

It's hard to mess it up don't worry too much. Really the most harmful thing is worrying too much and inventing problems where they don't have to be any.
